The ancient monastery of Aja Maria, on a steep hill in the widest part of the Rendina Gorge, looking towards the sea. 2nd R. N. Brigade, R. N. Division. February to April 1916. Forage limbers crossing a ford over the Rendina River, which is in flood after rain. March 1916. 2nd R. N. Brigade, R. N. Division and 27th Division. Four-Tree Hill, across which ran the British trench system along the bank of the Rendina River, Stavros Front, Salonika. End R. N. Brigade, R. N. Division. Spring 1916.
