Bovril Alley, an old and deep communication trench built by the French. It ran from Bully-Grenay to the Angres Sector. R. N. Division, August 1916. Captain St Clair Morford, 2nd Royal Marine Light Infantry, in front line trench in the Angres II Sub-Sector, badly damaged by Minnenwerfer. He was wounded on a reconnaissance and awarded the MC 17 August 1918. RN Division. Bovril Alley further up than in Q 14731. It was an old trench built by the French. Captain Davidson, R. A. M. C., on left. August 1916.
