PRACTICE LANDING AT SKYROS, 20 APRIL 1915. Preparatory to the landing on the Gallipoli Peninsula. 25 April 1915. SS RIVER CLYDE beached Dardanelles, 25 April 1915. Gully Ravine. This was a most useful communication way, a deep sully running up into the heart of our positions on the left.

Bombardment of Krithia by Monitors. Watching through periscope the effect of bomb from catapult. Bomb was released by striking catch of catapult with handle of entrenching tool. Helles Front, RN Division. Fusilier Bluff Trenches, going down to the sea. Front line trenches on the left. Turkish Line was on the other side of the gully on the right. (So-called after Inniskilling Fusiliers, who retook it 2nd July 1915).

Holt Tractor on "K" Beach. During the day, this machine broke up barges; at night it drew guns and heavy stuff up as near to the trenches as possible. It would go right over this derelict barge, crushing it flat. Dug-outs at the 3rd Field Ambulance at Orchard Gully, Helles. R. N. Division. Turkish prisoners' camp at Imbros, July 1915.
